If you are staying at a local San Diego Bed and Breakfast, ask the front desk to call ahead and make a reservation to avoid the wait at Old Town Mexican Cafe. It can reach upwards of an hour to get a table during peak hours, but it's well worth the wait.

Service in Cafe Coyote, as well as all the above mentioned restaurants in Old Town, is superb - you are treated as a guest in Old Town and you will definitely go away satisfied.

Casa Guadalajara is located in the Bazaar Del Mundo section of Old Town, so you can't miss it! The shops and plazas give way to the entrance of Casa Guadalajara, where you will get a sense that you've walked into Mexico. The food is as traditional as its name, and has been recognized internationally. Traditional clothing on the restaurant staff, traditional food on the menu, traditional music in the air and you might even get a chance to a request a song from the Mariachi if you wish, or wander into the full bar and lounge where they have nightly live entertainment.
